Bitcoin ETFs Add $423M in 3 Days as Blackrock Leads

Key Takeaways

Bitcoin ETFs Add $137M as 3-Day Inflow Streak Builds

Three sessions into the week, bitcoin has established a clear lead in the institutional flow race.

U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) added $137.33 million on Wednesday. Blackrock’s IBIT supplied almost the entire amount with $136.01 million, while Bitwise’s BITB contributed $1.32 million.

Trading value eased to $1.26 billion, the lowest of the week so far, while net assets climbed to $104.88 billion. That brings bitcoin ETF inflows since Monday to roughly $423.66 million.

The consistency is encouraging, but the concentration deserves equal attention. Monday’s $110.34 million inflow came entirely through IBIT. Fidelity joined the buying on Tuesday, but Wednesday’s demand again centered almost exclusively on Blackrock.

Bitcoin Demand Holds, Though Breadth Narrows

The three-day sequence gives bitcoin’s price a stronger institutional backdrop heading into the second half of the week.

Monday brought $110.34 million. Tuesday accelerated to $175.99 million. Wednesday added another $137.33 million. Those are three consecutive positive sessions after last week ended with two sizable withdrawals.

Still, the latest flows show that Blackrock continues to carry much of the recovery. A broader return of inflows across Fidelity, Bitwise and other issuers would make the trend more durable.

Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart estimates the average primary-market cost basis of U.S. bitcoin ETF creations at just under $82,000. He also estimates the funds collectively hold roughly 1.3 million bitcoin.

Seyffart describes the figure as a rough gauge of where capital entered the products, since secondary-market trading prevents any precise estimate of what current holders paid.

Ether Losses Shrink for a Third Session

Ether ETFs lost $21.41 million on Wednesday, extending their weekly outflow streak but showing a marked improvement in pace.

Monday’s loss was $88.58 million. Tuesday followed with $60.22 million. Across the first three sessions, ether funds have therefore shed about $170.21 million.

Blackrock’s ETHA was the only outflow on Wednesday with $44.83 million Wednesday. Fidelity’s FETH attracted $18.78 million, Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust added $3.62 million, and Morgan Stanley’s MSSE brought in $1.02 million.

That internal rotation is becoming increasingly relevant. FETH has attracted capital repeatedly this week even while ETHA redemptions keep the overall category negative. Trading activity reached $480.72 million, with net assets closing at $14.27 billion.

Solana Stays Weak as Zcash Keeps Attracting Capital

Solana ETFs lost another $5.66 million, entirely through Bitwise’s BSOL.

The category has now shed roughly $33.05 million since Monday. Wednesday’s loss was smaller than Tuesday’s $19.16 million exit, offering an early sign that selling pressure may be moderating.

Zcash continues to move in the opposite direction.

Grayscale’s ZCSH attracted $2.07 million, extending its inflow streak to seven sessions. Zcash ETFs have added about $7.48 million this week.

HYPE, NEAR and XRP recorded no net flows on Wednesday.

The emerging crypto ETF pattern is increasingly defined by persistence. Bitcoin has strung together three positive sessions, ether’s withdrawals are slowing, and solana’s selling has eased from Tuesday’s peak.

If those trends hold through Thursday, the week could finish with a clearer separation between assets regaining institutional sponsorship and those still working through October’s risk reduction.
